Eggs

Belgian Bearded d'Anver eggseggs

The Belgian Bearded d'Anver lays creamy white eggs.  The hen (in my experience) is a wonderful layer.  Often I get an egg per day (the maximum for any hen) from my top layer, during the height of her laying season.  However, strains vary in their capacity to lay eggs.  It is common for bantams to lay only three eggs per week.  The birds are good breeders, but the hens don't try to hatch the eggs for a while.  They simply leave them in the egg box, until they accumulate enough eggs - only then do the hens start to sit on them!

I do not ordinarily sell eggs, however, you can try asking.  (Eggs will not be available until Spring 2008.) Contact Me here
