      Al-Monsur Pediatric Hosptial. Medical services are free in Iraq. Before the Gulf War Iraq had one of the leading medical systems in all of the Middle East. After 12 years of sanctions, the whole system is crippled due to lack of doctors, medicine, medical technology and medical textbooks. In the past, many of their doctors received their training in the U.S. and Britain. When they returned, they were then able to update their colleagues.
