Father & Son

      A father and son were enjoying the afternoon fishing from the bank of the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. This is one of the locations thought to be the site of the Garden of Eden. Here the two rivers converge and become the Shatt al-Arab that drains down to the Persian Gulf. Much of the lush marshland that use to exist due to the flooding of the rivers is now gone with the draining of the marshes, creating an ecological disaster. Most of the once thriving Marsh Arab culture has faded away with their natural habitat.
