Jason' Brass Poles was started by Brian Weisman, a model railroading enthusiast, who started making the trolley poles for his own HO-Scale layout in the 1980s. The poles are entirely hand made in a workshop and are available in standardized scales, finishes, variations, and may be custom designed to meet particular needs. Real brass is used in creating the poles which provide durability and a refined look.

Jason's has produced and perfected the manufacturing of these products through many years of experience. Average turnaround time for a mid-sized order is 3 to 4 weeks. We have filled orders for a variety of model railroaders all over the world, including Japan and Europe. Our foreign customers have influenced our products as seen in our new "european style" trolley pole; another great example of Jason's Brass Poles desire to meet our customers particular needs.

All of our poles receive the essential detailing, wire insulators, telescopic tapering, wire hangers, and our lighting poles feature working lights running at either 1.50 volts or 12 volts including the necessary wiring.

All of our poles are made of 5 different types of brass which presents an accurate reproduction of the classic line pole used in many areas. Poles are threaded and come with a 1" or 2" screw for easy table mounting. Single and double-arm poles have hangers and insulators mounted for easy cantenary wiring. The hangers can be moved easily in or out on the arm with a hot soldering iron if required for non-standard track center-spacing. Fine nickel-silver wire or phosphorous bronze can be soldered easily to the hangers to create a cantenary system for trolley or other overhead electric operation. Armless poles are drilled to take a 1/16" o.d. brass rod or tube to create your own cantenary design or for multiple track operation. Poles are very sturdy when mounted and can withstand the tension required for a taut cantenary system.
