One Cool Kid! Katie models her new outfit. We had a really fun "Mommy and Katie Day" at the mall :)
Susie just LOVES Lizzie and after a nap, Lizzie invited Susie to join her in her crib.
They were having a secret conversation and I'm sure Susie was asking for Lizzie to find her more treats!
And after naptime EVERYONE piles on top of Dad. So much for Gary's nap!
Summer Vacation
Florida :)
What fun to take the girls to one of our favorite attractions, Kennedy Space Center.
The Shuttle Discovery on the launch pad, July 14. The first launch since the Columbia tragedy.
Due to a mechanical problem the launch of the Discovery has been scratched for now and it's been rolled back to the VAB.
I really hoped the girls would get a chance to see a launch. We'll just have to come back again.
Future Astronauts? You never know. Katie was quite impressed with the whole place and as we were leaving
she did say she wanted to be an astronaut. We'd be so proud of her no matter what she chooses to pursue but an
astronaut would be really cool! Mom and Dad both have always loved the idea of space travel.
We had so much fun we were one of the last to leave. Gave me a good opportunity to snap a picture of our new van!
The girls LOVED it for the trip down to Florida with the built in flip down DVD player and
I love how small it is compared to the big truck-like vans I've been driving for the past 12 years.
Happy Adoption Day

Wow, it's been 4 years since we became a family! After an afternoon of swimming we celebrated with a family dinner.
Lizzie loved the little inflatable wave rider! How cute is this?
Katie can swim. She wanted the water wings on till she got more comfortable with it
but then she did take them off and she did great even if she was a bit nervous!
It just takes time in the water. I'm sure before the summer is over she'll be a swimming like a fish. Both girls
love the water and since we have access to a wonderful pool I can see us getting a lot of pool time.
4 years ago to the day we held this little girl in our arms for the very first time. It was love at first sight,
at least for Mom and Dad. Adopting our girls is the BEST thing either of us have ever done.
We love you sweetheart and we're so happy to be your parents. Thank you for being our daughter!
