Chinese New Year 2005
Celebrating the Year of the
Rooster
Sisters in their beautiful silks
from China
Katie shawing off one of her many
fans.
And yes, we are a multicultural
family, Lizzie models a German Dirndl, from Tante Resi. She loves this dress and spun
around making the skirt flare. Katie is learning Spanish in
school and wants Mom to teach her German as well. She also showed quite an interest
in Mandarin this past summer
and we're hoping to find another class for her and Lizzie this
year. Children are such sponges at this
age and absorb new languages with ease.
Lizzie's language skills are amazing. She is speaking in 5 word
sentences already
and repeats anything and everything she hears!
Chuck E. Cheese Playdate, Feb 2005
When did my girls get so
big? They look so much older in these two photos!
Valentine's Day2005
The day started with a playdate
then home for cupcakes and family fun!
My little
Monkeys! They can be so silly and so sweet!
February was a short but full
month.
The girls really enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year and
Valentine's Day, as well as playdates with friends.
The month started off on a very sad note with the loss of a dear
friend.
I tried to keep the girls busy but we spent a lot of time talking about
some really big things.
I'm always amazed at just how much they understand, even at such young
ages.
The bond between the two girls continues to get stronger every day and
they truly are sisters in every way.
We are truly blessed to have them in our lives.
