Winfield B. (Bert) Kinner was a well-known aircraft and engine manufacturer beginning in 1919. He is reported to have experimented with engines like the small Lawrance three-cylinder radials as early as 1921. Kinner Motors Co. of Glendale, California was a 1939 successor to the Kinner Airplane and Motor Corp., which was founded in 1927. The company is well known for their five-cylinder radial engines. The entry here is an HOAE development program, which began during WWII, but did not lead to success. Kinner bought Gladden Products of Glendale in late 1944. Kinner Gladden Products Corp. engines were listed for the last time in J51-52.
